This would be a decent place to go with couples. Never understood why you wouldn’t have more staff to sell more cocktails and food. In summary, ambiance in the restaurant was cool as was the music. The manager at the restaurant which is separate graciously refunded the money for the wristbands. ![]() There were 2 of us and we didn’t plan in staying all night so we just left after checking out the place. Asked if any were open and one of the guys said yes on first come/first serve basis but would have to move if someone else showed up. Heard they can go up to $10K for a great DJ. These are to be reserved in advance and prices vary depending on the entertainment or DJ. For seating, there seem to be just private couches with table service. Anyway, get upstairs early and guests are just starting to arrive. Went through at least 4 screenings to get in including a scanning of my drivers license which I did not like too much as well as a security search. I understand they are open until 4 an which is good as Chicago needs some more late not spots in that area. Not bad as it got us right into the nightclub although the lines had not started to form yet. We then proceeded to the nightclub as it is new, trendy, and hot. Everything looked really good, but honestly just fancy Asian fusion (read expensive Chinese and Japanese cuisine). Ordered a bit more food and watched other meals being served. Waiter was good and cordial but also busy. Tables are squeezed together pretty tightly so lots if bumping. We were sat at adjoining 2 tops in the aisle. Prices are not cheap so be prepared to drop a few hundred just for that. Only saw 2 cocktail servers even though the place was filling up. Tried a few apps with drinks which were ok (edamame and tuna poke). Enjoyed great cocktails (Nirvana and Tao Tinis). Looks like they gutted the old Excalibers and did a great job. We let the hostess know and she said she would make an attempt to seat us earlier but didn’t happen. Although we had a reservation for dinner after 9 PM, we got there early and sat in the lounge. Reservations for restaurant should be made in advance. The nightclub is open Thursday and Friday 10pm - 4am and Saturday 10pm - 5am.
